[ 2 ] While walking through Warsaw’s Wola <u>district, Polish architect Jakub Szczęsny</u><sup class=\"q\">11</sup> noticed a small gap between two buildings— one <u>not particularly tall,</u><sup class=\"q\">12</sup> the other a contemporary, concrete apartment building. [ 3 ] He imagined transforming the space into a functional building that would physically link two different eras. - Named to honor writer Etgar Keret, this impossibly slim house is only about four feet across at its widest point. Still, it has most of the features of a traditional house. The house contains a one-foot-wide dining table and chairs and a narrow bed. the preceding passage as a whole. Storage areas, kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom are compressed to fit into a <u>spread</u><sup class=\"q\">14</sup> of space over two floors. The building is primarily a working studio for artists in residence selected by Szczęsny and Keret.
